I have been a loyal customer of OBA for many years, and every visit is a delight. I always order the baba ghanoush, eggplant salad, and salmon with homemade bread--each dish is consistently fresh and delicious. Today, I was in a bit of a rush to buy a screwdriver for assembling my computer monitors. I asked my server, Bulent, if I could place my order before heading to Target and return in about 10-15 minutes. He kindly agreed, which I truly appreciated, as some restaurants may hesitate in case a customer doesn't return. When I came back, my food was ready and waiting for me. This small act of trust and flexibility made my day--it saved me time and allowed me to multitask efficiently. Beyond the amazing food, OBA's excellent service and hospitality keep me coming back. Thank you, Bulent, for the wonderful experience! Highly recommend this restaurant for both the food and the outstanding service!

Great place for a group dinner. There were 3 of us and we got the small mixed grill and small mixed appetizer. It was more than enough food to around.

Tasty, no, very tasty chicken gyro, wonderful service, good sized portion. Definitely returning. Menu offered many good looking options.

Reading the menu online in an effort to positively identify last night's dinner selections, it's not going well so I decided to leave the descriptions out. However the last picture is the girlfriend and I can identify her. I know there was lamb and chicken and a cubed steak meat and as the day wears on, I'll be forced to insert unsaid dishes by name and description or my angelic Yelp conscious will eat at me forever. Two reasons why I can't identify these well priced heaping portions. Number 1, my lady is Greek, OBA is Turkish - sorta similar in typical fare name so they were slinging around the Mediterranean as I hammered the Baba Ganoush. Secondly, she had carte blanche to order, I wasn't in the mood to decide on anything. They villied combos and arrangements of options, so these are my temporary excuses only to be doubled back upon as mentioned above as I write along. The chicken looked like a tower of meat that had been bombed out and toppled over to leave a flatness of layers of chicken. A bit greasy but rather tasty and I'll explain that at next weeks cardiology appointment. She asked for "fries" twice and kept getting rice. I kept asking for water as I'm pounding the little 8oz'ers like tequila on Cinco de Mayo. I drank about 9 glasses, I'd have just left the pitcher of the East River Water Company, fresh to you from one hundred years old rusty pipes to your lips, so why do I enjoy it so? The lamb was sliced thin, how do these people make gyro meat so pressed? I guess they flatten it with bricks and blender it then rotisserie it. How do they cut it so symmetrically and perfectly exact? These are the questions that I'm going over as a fork more meats and dazzle myself with my individual single rice spearing skills. Mogallar (Old skool Turkish Metal band) playing immediately above as the heating source turned my girlfriends shoulder into pink beef. There's a lot going on above us with strung lights and the echos of an Indian devil child a few tables away. So they have this side car attachment to the building, so your not exactly inside but your not outside and the wooden floorboards are creaking like an old pirate ship. And each time dude serves, he kinda comes around me with velocity and clips my chair so I'm feeling the rocking of the ship more and more, I'm feeling seasickness. So subtract out the non food existential factors and we were quite pleased. I'd been there once before in a full camouflage gilly suit after returning from a hunting trip so they clearly didn't recognize me, which is a good thing as I was with two weirdos..

Stopped by for a weekday lunch, they still have their outdoor dining set up so we chose to get some natural light. Hubby and I have ate here before and only tried their platters. Today, I got their small salad - which was $14 for a really small bowl, only slightly bigger than their sharing plates. For entree I opted for the grilled branzino platter which came with rice and salad - fish was cooked well and perfectly flaky. The hubby tried their chicken gyro sandwich on their housemade bread (it's like a couple dollars extra for the upgrade) - best decision ever. Their homemade bread is huge, a bit toasty on the outside and soft/pillowy on the inside. The sandwich is packed with chicken gyro and lettuce/tomato/onion. It's on the bland side by itself but with the hot sauce they provide, it just ties the whole sandwich together. Considering the entire sandwich was cheaper than the small salad, you're def getting a bang for your buck.

The food is good as this restaurant is located directly on Austin Street .I usually go here with my partner the restaurant itself is small on the inside with the tented outside dining available as they now call it a dining room .The food makes up for it they serve the pita first and the menu is super long with a list of items it can be confusing and overwhelming but the staff is very helpful and will gladly explain how the dish is and what it looks like and what it comes with .It's super nice in the night time for a quiet dinner. Can't wait to come back again!!!!
